I live in Northwest Washington State, where I am helping raise and launch four children into their chosen paths. Oldest son is doing his undergrad in Nova Scotia (my home province), oldest daughter will head to college this fall, and the younger daughter and son are in high school and middle school, respectively. I recently got a leave replacement contract teaching biology and environmental science at an alternative high school, which I really enjoy. Changes afoot–in prospects for continuing in high school or middle school science, in maybe moving to a new place, in all the transitions our offspring are going through. I turn fifty in the summer of 2016, and might get to do some sheep dairying after all.
