I grew up in rural Nova Scotia, and now live in Northwest Washington State, where I am helping launch four children into their chosen paths. Oldest son has graduated from college and working in software, oldest daughter is studying biology here in town, and the younger daughter and son are in high school, the daughter soon to graduate. I am a full time math and science teacher. I have a gravel bike, a paddle board, a large vegetable garden, and two dogs. I also want chickens, but one of the dogs is a husky.
I have been writing on this blog since I took a class from a fellow teacher writer in 2012, and in the last few years I’ve been writing more poetry and attending annual workshops. My life is bringing many changes, and I aim to make writing a more prominent part.
